Last time I wrote about some current base lines related to fear programs…some working as they were designed into our physiology and some not.
I am continuously intrigued by videos, photos and stories going around on social media these days about animals and how interesting behaviours and alliances are emerging. Yesterday it was a guy playing a piano for two rescue elephants. One of the elephants was swaying his hind end to the fast music….the other swayed and from time to time pounded the keyboard with his trunk. A few weeks ago it was the elk in a zoo saving a marmot from drowning in his water trough. A few years ago it was Jessica the hippo who slept under a pink comforter at night and had free rein of the house of her human companions. This takes me back to the idea of…..Life Beyond the Fear Program. What happens when as a human we live devoid of fear? How can we evolve to the next level?…….to become an expression of human that is almost unimaginable since life without fear is not a part of our recent past? What happens when humanity no longer has any need to focus on the concept of survival but only becoming better….kinder….wiser…..more just? Do you think that when there is that shift of focus the necessities of life still get taken care of….just in a different way and through a different mechanism? The Zoo where the elk resides said this about why such an animal would pull a marmot out of a trough and then nudge it with his hoof to check on his condition and possibly help it revive…..…“the basic needs are being met so you start seeing a little bit more elaborate behaviour..... they are engaging their brains in a different way that would have been basically for survival. But now it is a little more complicated and advanced.” I think about that quote……and then I think about what was in part 1 of this blog. Humanity has basically been in survival mode with the fear program loop. What are the possibilities if we choose, en masse to step out of the program? Who can we become as individuals and a collective if we all just decide to redirect all our focus and energy into our own evolution without worrying "what if………." What would humans, our horses and all other animals be like if “survival” was not their primary focus when they interface with their world? If these stories are any indication of what is possible I can’t wait to see how this all plays out down the road! This evolution has only just begun. With Peace and Love, Until next time H

![]() This beautiful, blue eyed girl is part of a herd I know and has had chronically runny eyes for years for eight years since she was rescued. Recently she has been coming to me and asking for healing. She will often walk up and just place herself in front of me and stay there until she is complete. She will nuzzle under my arm and if I bring my arm around will rest her head there. Releasing the full weight of her head for me to hold. Two weeks ago her eyes were clear and dry and have been every day since. A sight I have never seen in the months I have known her. What a beautiful example of her innate desire to heal and manifesting that opportunity for herself. Also, how patience and timing are important for the healer. HR ![]() I am a member of a number of online equine and horsekeeping groups. One of these groups is an Insulin Resistant(IR)/Cushings support group, and recently the subject of healing came up. By healing I mean once and for all, to the root cause, never to return, and not a treatment that overrides symptoms temporarily. A woman had a Cushings horse whose symptoms were changed and he was doing very well. In Cushings Disease neurons in the brain become damaged. This horse's human was told by one of the moderators (and it is in fact the position the group holds) that it is not possible for there to be a cure because the neurons are gone. Not only was her horse not feeling better because he was actually well, but there was no possibility of him ever being well. Now, I don't actually have a Cushings or IR horse so I don't usually have reason to respond to a post with this group. But, this particular post spoke to me. Knowing that our thoughts, perceptions and beliefs absolutely shape our reality, I could not let this old perception be expressed without saying something about what I know to be true. I have included my post below. "......right now the fields of Neurogenisis ("Adult neurogenesis is the process of generating new neurons which integrate into existing circuits after fetal and early postnatal development has ceased." Scholarpedia) and Neuroplasticity are very much in their infancy. The brain has actually been proven to be a neuron rebuilder. At one point it was believed that when neurons in the brain were damaged or no longer functioned for some reason then that function was lost forever. But, there is now a lot of evidence (meaning proof) that is absolutely not the case. What bothers me about science is that almost without exception things that are simply unknown are stated as a fact...when in actual fact they are unknown. That leaves the general public....and quite frankly a lot of scientists with an incorrect perception of what is true. A thing that is unknown is simply that...not impossible. This following is a quote I have taken from Wikipedia, Subventricular Zone page....but there are many places to find more information about neurogenisis and neuroplasticity online. I think the key is to consider that science is just beginning to understand what the brain can actually do and this field is in a big way just exposing the tip of an iceberg. "Given the understanding of the Subventricular Zone (SVZ) as a region of neurogenesis for neuronal stem cells and its potential role in replacement cell therapy for damaged regions of the brain, the SVZ has proven and will continue to act as an important insight into cell therapy for many traumatic brain injuries. Current research is being conducted with aims of not only understanding the migratory and regulatory pathways of the neuronal stem cells and their progenitors, but also how to induce and potentially direct them in a desired direction. While such research has not yet provided for any implementation of these findings, the future may hold possible treatments, chemical or otherwise, that will help those in need of brain cell replacement. "" So, for all of you out there who have equine partners with some sort of neurological issue please take heart. The brain is a magnificent and complex organ that can rewire itself and it is designed to do so. When it happens, sometimes it happens spontaneously and sometimes it needs some help. It is just taking science a while to prove it to themselves. But, consider this...... the truth is not dependant on proof. HR |
